ASICS MOTIVATES FOR RUNNERS TO TAKE THEIR PERFORMANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL AT THE SANLAM CAPE TOWN MARATHON 2015

Brand positioning as a component of the marketing mix is key and so too it follows that securing prime position within an event local adds significant value to any brand activation.

The entrance to the expo within which to activate our clients brand provided a fantastic opportunity for the ASICS Brand Activators and Ambassadors to engage with each of the visitors.

Large format visuals ensured that the space was "owned" by the brand and around this key touchpoints were added to ensure an interactive and meaningful engagement was available for the athletes.

Product displays included both running shoes on customised plinths and apparel displayed on panels using magnetic fasteners complemented with speech bubbles outlining the unique features and benefits of the items and the specific materials used.

The "MUYR (Mix Up Your Run) Footwear Wall" outlined the benefits of different shoes in different terrain and the "Foot ID Room" allowed visitors the opportunity to both have their feet scientifically assesed and then consult with an ASICS expert to obtain advice as to the best fit for a given individual in a given terrain.

To cap it all and with the aim of motivating the runners to take their performance to the next level, a "Motivational Wall" was provided for visitors to scribe words of motivation to encourage their fellow participants.

An activation for a brand that is and motivates next level - we think so and are proud of our association!
