BHP BILLITON LAUNCHES SOUTH32 BRAND AT AN EXCITING EVENT.

XZIBIT was recently asked to assist with internal and external branded elements that complimented the official launch event, held on the 26th of May.

In collaboration with Below-the-Line agency, Activ8 as well as Deloitte Consulting, XZIBIT produced items that included point of display elements, lift branding, cut out figurines, acvtivation elements for the launch event and a massive 36m x 32m building wrap!

BHP Billiton simplified its portfolio by demerging a group of high quality assets to create an independent global metals and mining company, called South32. Named after the 32nd parallel south line of latitude that links its business centres in Perth and Johannesburg, South32 will produce alumina, aluminium, coal, manganese, nickel, silver, lead and zinc from mines and smelters in Australia, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa and Mozambique.

Elements included large exterior light box signage, internal directional signage and refurbishment of key areas within the building, namely main Reception area, staff Canteen and individual floor reception areas. We were extremely proud to be associated with the historic event and alignment to the new company. The new brand is bold, modern and symbolic of strength with its woven pattern.

The show stopper was the unveiling of the new logo be means of large 36m x 32m building wrap which was revealed to over 500 guests, media and Exco members at the inaugural event.
